DNR Fur Shipping Tag

Anyone shipping or transporting raw furs, pelts or skins of wild furbearers outside of
West Virginia must fill out a Fur Shipping Tag.  Cut the tag form into two parts along the dotted line.

The part labeled “FUR SHIPPING TAG” at the top must be sent in an envelope to:

            WV Division of Natural Resources
            P.O. Box 67
            Elkins, WV  26241

This must be done within 24 hours of shipping furs out of state.

The other side must be filled out and attached to the outside of the shipping container or package with the “NO. OF ANIMALS” and “SPECIES OF FURBEARERS” side face up. It would be best to cover the entire form with clear shipping tape.

Click here to access the fur shipping tag.

Refer to page 4 of the current WV Hunting and Trapping Regulations if you need additional information.
