Senior Camping

A citizen is considered a senior at age 60.  Regardless how young or old you feel at age 60, take advantage of these discount opportunities.  Discounts cannot be combined.

• 10% discount for individuals age 60 and older and occupying the rented campsite is a year-round discount regardless of residency.  Proof of age may be required. This discount is based on the standard campsite per night rate.

• West Virginia residents age 60 and older and occupying the rented campsite is extended a 50% discount from the day after Labor Day until four days prior to Memorial Day.  There may be a two night minimum and can only occur when campgrounds are open.

Campsite Advanced Reservation Information

Online reservations for campsite rentals are available at all West Virginia State Parks and Forests.  The Online reservation process is at wvstateparks.com.

State parks and forests with campground are listed below.   When you visit the webpage www.wvstateparks.com, find the title ‘accommodation’ and click the Camping Icon. It is a campfire graphic.  Parks and forests with camping will be listed.  If you know the park or forest where camping is an interest, click that park name or image.  At the bottom of that webpage you’ll find a button ‘View Rates and Availability’.  Click that button and you can search dates for available site reservations.  If the dates you select have no sites available for rent the result will be no information – only campsites available (those not reserved) will show for the dates entered.

There are no paper based or mail-in applications for site rentals. Phone-in reservations are available by calling the park or forest direct or the call center at 833-987-2757
