Are you up for the Challenge?

Youths between 10 and 17 are invited to take the 2007 Outdoor Youth Challenge!

Challenging events for youths will include archery, fish identification, range estimation, .22 rifle, clay targets, animal track identification, casting competition, a written test on game and fish laws and safety, and for the senior group, muzzleloader shooting. Additional events may be added. All events are handicapped accessible.

The Junior Division (age 10 thru 13) will begin at 10 A.M. Saturday. The Senior Division will begin at 10 A.M. Sunday. Prizes will be awarded to all event winners and a Grand Champion for each day will be chosen based upon total scores for all events. Decisions of the judges on each event are final.

Only 50 competitive slots are available per day, so get your application in soon! Entry fees are $15.00. Checks must be made payable to: West Virginia Wildlife Federation. Sponsors are available upon request.

Complete and mail the "Application for 2007 Outdoor Youth Challenge" and your $15.00 sponsor fee made out to the West Virginia Wildlife Federation to: Mike Spangler, Conservation Officer, 100 State Park Trail, Walkersville, WV 26447.
