DNR Electronic License System Scheduled for Upgrade

West Virginia hunting and fishing licenses will not be available from the www.wvhunt.com and www.wvfish.com Web sites between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. EST on Sunday, January 27, 2008. Computers will be offline while electrical upgrades are being made to the Data Center, according to Curtis Taylor, Chief of the Division of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Section.

“Maintaining our computer systems and facilities for high availability is an ongoing process at DNR,” said Taylor. “Hunters and anglers rely on our ‘goWILD’ system to purchase their licenses 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so we do everything possible to minimize downtime.”

Licenses will still be available at authorized license agents throughout the state during these hours. For more information, or to locate an authorized license agent, please visit the DNR web site at http://www.wvdnr.gov/hunting/license_agents.asp.
