Wonderful West Virginia Magazine Has Large-Print Option For Readers With Vision Problems

Subscribers to Wonderful West Virginia magazine who have difficulty reading the articles because of vision problems now have the option of receiving the articles in a large-print format, according to the magazine’s publisher, Harry Price.

“Wonderful West Virginia has always had standard size type for magazines of its kind, but we’ve found that as our readership ages, many have difficulty reading the stories that go with the beautiful photography,” Price explained. “This new option allows our older readers and others with vision difficulties to receive the articles in a bigger print format by e-mail at the same time as they receive their issues in the mail.”

Paid subscribers to the magazine may go to the Wonderful West Virginia Web site at www.wonderfulwv.com , click the “Large Print Request” option on the left side of the page, and fill out the subscription information requested, using the subscription ID number found on the mailing label on one of their recent issues. Beginning immediately, they will receive a monthly e-mail containing a large-text version of the magazine’s articles in PDF format. It can be read on the computer screen using Adobe Reader, which is available for free downloading, or printed out for convenient reading while enjoying the photography in the regular issue.

Wonderful West Virginia magazine, the state’s premier full-color magazine of outdoor fun and history, is published monthly by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. It is available at newsstands for $2.50 per copy, or by subscription by calling 1-800-CALL-WVA or on the Internet at www.wonderfulwv.com. Subscriptions are available for one year for $17 or two years for $34.
