DNR Law Enforcement Section Files Legislative Rule Changes for Review

The Law Enforcement Section of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources has filed legislative rule changes with the Secretary of State’s office, according to Lt. Colonel Jerry B. Jenkins Deputy Chief of the Division’s Law Enforcement Section.

The proposed rule change will be open for review and written comments until 4 p.m. on July 20, 2007. The availability of the proposed rule change will be advertised in the State Register. In addition, the proposed rule changes will be available for review at each DNR District Office, the Elkins Office and the Charleston Office. Individuals interested in reviewing the proposed rule changes should contact the Law Enforcement Section staff at these offices.

Written comments may be submitted to Lt. Colonel Jerry B. Jenkins, Deputy Chief, Law Enforcement Section, Capitol Complex, Building 3, Room 837, Charleston, WV 25305.

Interference with hunters, trappers and fisherman

Any person convicted of any violation of 20-2-2a who holds West Virginia hunting, fishing or trapping license at the time of conviction, such license shall be revoked for two years. The revocation period begins on the date of conviction.
