Aerial Tramway at Hawks Nest State Park Reopened After Repairs

The aerial tramway at Hawks Nest State Park near Ansted in Fayette County has been reopened following completion of repairs last week, according to Hawks Nest State Park Superintendent Tom Shriver. The tramway had been closed May 31while replacement parts were ordered and installed. The aerial tramway from Hawks Nest Lodge to the marina and jet boat rides at the bottom of the New River Gorge is a main attraction at the park.
