“Lying In State” Dinner Theater at Chief Logan Lodge, Hotel and Convention Center March 24 and 25 Presented by The Aracoma Story Inc.

Death and dinner: it’s a winning combination, or it will be March 24 and 25 as The Aracoma Story, Inc. pairs with The Chief Logan Lodge, Hotel and Convention Center to present the madcap comedy “Lying In State” by David C. Hyer.

In the story, a late state senator, Ed, is being laid to rest as a result of a ridiculous gun accident that has made him a national hero. The local political party is strenuously looking for someone to fill his senate seat. Edna, the ex-wife bound by promise to arrange the funeral; Buttons, the exotic dancer, scout den mother and Ed’s fiancée; Margo, the mellowing out widow of a Parlor C casket dweller; Harry, the rich and wacky writer brother; Herb, who drips slime as the political chairman; Fred, the mega-star televangelist looking and acting governorish; and Wally, the governor’s son and general gofer; are the odd assortment of potential candidates who make up this hilarious political satire. This multi-talented cast will tickle your funny bone and steal your vote in this comedy about love and politics in a world where anything goes.

This dinner theater package includes dinner, show, lodging, breakfast, tax and gratuity for $145.99 per couple. Dinner and theater only packages are $60 per couple. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 304-855-6100 or 1-800-CALL-WVA and asking for Chief Logan Lodge. Dinners are scheduled for Saturday, March 24 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 25 at 1 p.m. The show will start immediately after dinner.
