“Live and Out of the Ordinary” New Year’s Eve Celebration Chief Logan Lodge and Conference Center December 31

Logan, W.Va. -- The Dennis McClung Blues Band brings the musical influences of Ray Charles, Eric Clapton and B.B. King to the stage and dance floor at Chief Logan Lodge and Conference Center this New Year’s Eve.

Chief Logan Lodge joined the state park lodge system July 2006 with a 13,000 square foot conference center, full-service restaurant, lounge, guest fitness center and contemporary lodging complete with wireless Internet. Open year-round, the New Year’s dance and celebration will be the first official special event at this state park lodge. New Year’s promises to be “live and out of the ordinary,” just like the latest CD by the Dennis McClung Band.

The band members are Dennis McClung on guitar and vocals, Jason Corder on bass and vocals, Randy Franklin on keyboards and vocals, and Linny Merchant on drums and vocals. Based in Fairmont, West Virginia, this blues band has performed at the Heritage Blues Festival in Wheeling, W.Va.; Thunder in the Valley in Johnstown, Pa.; Colors of Fall Blues at Snowshoe, W.Va.; and Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa. to name a few venues. Bruce Wheeler of the Heritage Blues Festival calls this band the “best blues band in West Virginia.”

Package reservations include overnight accommodations at the new 75-room lodge for two, dinner, breakfast, champagne toast at midnight, cash bar, party favors and live music from the Dennis McClung Blues Band. Door prize drawings are available throughout the evening. An overnight package is offered with standard king and queen rooms starting at $219 per couple. Group tables of eight are available via reservation. Reservations are limited.

\Reservation information is available at www.chiefloganlodge.com under special events and can be made by calling (304) 855-6100 . To bring in the New Year at Chief Logan Lodge, reservations are a must. For couples not looking for the ordinary New Year’s Eve dance, it’s rhythm and blues, good food and fun at Chief Logan Lodge conveniently located off U.S. 119 on Conference Center Drive mile marker 30.5 between Chapmanville and Logan , W.Va.
