Wallback Lake Stocking

More than 300 channel catfish and 350 adult bluegill have been stocked into Wallback Lake this summer, according to Bret Preston, assistant chief of the Wildlife Resources Section. “These catchable-sized fish will provide fishing opportunities during the summer and fall in this new lake,” said Preston . “ Wallback Lake previously was stocked with trout, and bluegill, channel catfish fingerlings, and largemouth bass fingerlings.”

Wallback Lake is a 15-acre lake located on the Wallback Wildlife Management Area in Clay County . The lake was recently completed and opened for fishing this spring. Wallback Lake will be stocked annually with trout on a monthly basis from February through May.
