McCollum Camping Area at Coopers Rock State Forest

Closed Until Electricity is Restored

  McCollum Camping Area at Coopers Rock State Forest in Monongalia and Preston counties will remain closed for at least a couple of weeks until electricity is restored in the campground, according to Park Superintendent Al Kerns.

  “Electric lines are still down at the camping area because of winter damage,” Kerns says. “However, visitors will still be able to enjoy numerous picnic sites and shelters and nearly 50 miles of trails throughout the forest.”
