Winter Blues Buster Weekend at Blackwater Falls State Park

March 17-18

  Blackwater Falls State Park in Davis , West Virginia , offers a Winter Blues Buster Weekend for March 17 through 18.

  Friday's St. Patrick's Day bash will start at 8:30 p.m. with music featuring Stewed Mulligan at the Purple Fiddle in Thomas , West Virginia . “Guests will enjoy a blend of old backwoods sound with country rock in a family-friendly atmosphere,” says Pat Hissom, Blackwater Falls State Park activities coordinator.

  Saturday's schedule includes an afternoon tour of local artists and specialty stores in Davis and Thomas.

  Guests will enjoy a dinner theater Saturday evening. A buffet dinner will be served at 6 p.m. with dessert served at intermission.  A production of “The Complete History of America (Abridged)” will begin at 7:30 p.m. This spoof uncovers how America was really discovered plus what really happened to John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln and Lucille Ball.

  Price for Friday night entertainment is $16 for two and Saturday dinner theater is $33.76 for two. The lodging rate is $65.73 per night per couple, based on double occupancy. Other lodging rates for single or triple occupancy are available. A non-refundable $5 registration applies to the weekend.
