Sweetheart Weekends at West Virginia State Parks  

   West Virginia state parks are providing romantic weekend getaways for Valentine's Day. Bring your sweetheart and enjoy a weekend of entertainment in a relaxed atmosphere. February 10-12. North Bend State Park, Cairo, WV

Bring that special someone to North Bend State Park for a fun getaway weekend. A Friday evening performance of “Celebrate West Virginia ” by Mic Souter, local tours, wonderful meals, live music and a sweetheart dance are just a taste of what this package has to offer. The weekend p ackage includes two nights of lodging, meals and all activities for $332.70 per couple (double occupancy) or $216.06 for one person (single occupancy). Price for sweetheart dinner and dance alone is $120 per couple.

February 10-12. Pipestem Resort State Park, Pipestem, WV

Escape into the mountains of Pipestem Resort State Park for Valentine's Day. Enjoy fun activities, Saturday evening dinner, romantic music and a dance. Package includes activities, two nights of lodging and Saturday evening dinner and dance for $199.42 for single occupancy or $281.12 for double occupancy.

February 10-12. Twin Falls Resort State Park, Mullens, WV

Spend a romantic weekend with that special someone at Twin Falls Resort State Park . The package includes two nights of lodging at the Twin Falls lodge or one of the park's many cabins, Friday evening activities, Saturday morning nature walk, Saturday evening dinner, dance, DJ music, hors d'oeuvres, complimentary souvenir champagne glass, drink mixers and a sweet cash auction. Guests can earn ‘sweet cash' throughout the weekend for the auction on Saturday night.  A king and queen will be crowned during the dance Saturday evening. The package prices are $198 per couple for two nights at the lodge, $240 per couple for two nights in a two bedroom cabin or $350 for two couples for two nights in a two bedroom cabin. Other options are available.

February 11. Hawks Nest State Park, Ansted , WV

Enjoy a dinner theater performance of “The People I Love, The Place I Live” by singer/songwriter Colleen Anderson, accompanied by guitarist George Castelle. Guests will hear love songs, songs about the mountains and a couple of songs guaranteed to make them giggle or maybe even laugh out loud. Short stories and poems are swirled into the mix. Cost for the dinner theater only is $38.66 per adult and $25.16 per child. Package price of $129.96 includes dinner for two, theater for two, overnight lodging and a 10 percent gift shop discount. Dining room opens at 6 p.m. , dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and performances will begin between 7:30 to 8 p.m. Seating will be four people to a table. Reservations for full packages will be honored first.
