DNR Law Enforcement Section Files Legislative Rules for Review

The Law Enforcement Section of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources has filed legislative rules with the Secretary of State’s Office, according to Major D. E. Murphy, Assistant Chief of the Division’s Law Enforcement Section. The proposed rule on Boating will be open for review and written comment until 4:30 p.m. on July 28, 2005. The proposed rule on Terms Defining Hunting and Trapping will be open for review and written comment until 4:30 p.m. on July 22, 2005. In addition, the proposed rule will be available for review at each DNR District Law Enforcement office and the Charleston office. Individuals interested in reviewing the rule should contact the Law Enforcement Section staff at these offices.

Written comments may be submitted to Major D. E. Murphy, Assistant Chief, Law Enforcement Section, Capitol Complex, Building 3, Room 840, Charleston, WV 25305.

After the public review and comments period closes, July 28 and 22, 2005, respectively, appropriate changes will be made to the proposed rule and they will be re-filed by DNR for action by the Legislative Rule Making Committee prior to the 2006 session of the West Virginia Legislature.
