Plans Spring Workshop

The West Virginia Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Program (BOW) announces the Spring Workshop to be held April 15-17, 2005 at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown. Women who are at least 18 years old can learn new outdoor skills in a safe, non-threatening atmosphere. Workshop participants can choose from more than 25 classes, including biking, shooting, fishing, hiking, and several new classes as well. Registration is open until April 1. A $200 registration fee covers lodging, meals, and class materials.

Two Beyond BOW events are also scheduled in West Virginia this spring. On April 5, 2005 , “Let's Talk Turkey” will be hosted at Camp Creek State Park . This family friendly event allows women and family members who are at least 8 years old to learn about turkey decoys, calls and hunting techniques. A Leave No Trace Backpacking Trip will be held May 20-22, 2005 in Marlinton. Participants will hike approximately 16 miles along the Greenbrier River Trail.
